Recap: Avalon Walk In Flip Flops

The 2nd Annual Avalon Walk in Sandy Flip Flops for a Cure began on a gorgeous summer morning down the shore Saturday, July 25.  The 2-mile Walk began at the Avalon Community Center and progressed down the Avalon boardwalk looping to Ocean Drive returning to the community center.  Approximately 160 walkers came together showing their support of Parkinson’s Disease.

Months of planning by Linda Storbeck and family produced gross revenues of more than $7500 donated by sponsors and individuals.  Funds raised from the Walk will be distributed within our Parkinson Disease community for research, education and awareness.

The Parkinson Council would like to offer their true appreciation to all of those involved in making this year’s Walk such a success!
