- Promoting research into the causes and cure for Parkinson's Disease
- Educating patients, caregivers, health professionals and the general public about Parkinson's Disease
- Improving the quality of life for patients and their families
Vision
A world without Parkinson's disease.
Purpose
The Parkinson Council’s goal is to initiate, manage and support efforts in fundraising, research, advocacy, education and services.
Core Value
The Parkinson Council believes in compassionate dedication and integrity for all persons suffering from Parkinson’s Disease and their care-givers, in every community.
Core Strategies
The Parkinson Council conducts special events and strives to create new activities to raise money, increase its donor base and diversify the sources of fundraising. These funds are then distributed throughout the Delaware Valley area. The Parkinson Council will also continue to fund existing support groups, form new support groups, especially in under-served communities, while bringing awareness of the disease to the general community through advocacy and education. We strive to remain current on changing health initiatives and modalities that support our constituents and share that information in a timely and responsible fashion.
